Skyhawks Field Hockey Camp

Explore the exciting world of Field Hockey with Skyhawks, partnered with USA Field Hockey to bring this global sport to your community. Our camp is ideal for beginners, whether familiar with the sport or new to it.

Our coaches, using curriculum developed by USA Field Hockey, create a fun and engaging learning experience. They teach fundamental skills such as stick handling, dribbling, passing, and receiving in a playful and inclusive setting. Field hockey is a sport for everyone, enjoyed by boys and girls around the world, and our program celebrates this inclusivity.

Join us for games, teamwork, and lots of laughter, as we introduce age-appropriate activities and strategies. More than just a sports program, we offer a chance for new friendships and adventures since residency is not required.

Every participant will get a Skyhawks tee shirt, an Osaka field hockey stick and ball courtesy of USA Field Hockey, plus a free month of online training from LEAP Hockey—the top name in field hockey training. What more could you ask for?!

WEATHER POLICY

» Our goal is to not cancel any camp days due to rain showers.
» We will seek shelter until conditions are safe.
» Please pack extra clothing if rain is in the forecast.

That said, your child's safety is our #1 priority and if conditions are deemed unsafe for the day, the rain date is Friday, July 18, 2025 from 9am-12pm.

Camp is open to the public and is offered in partnership with Avalon Recreation Department.

WHAT TO BRING

» Refillable Water bottle
» Sunscreen, sunglasses, and/or hat
» Wear layers of athletic clothing and sneakers.
(No sandals, open-toe shoes, Crocs or shoes with wheels (Heelies) allowed. This is for your child’s safety!)
» Sport Specific Gear - sticks & balls will be provided. Please bring mouth guards and/or shin pads.
» Snacks - We recommend 2-3 snacks.
» Please label everything.
